FRIDAY'S AT JIMMY LOVE'S

Ahhhh Gyeah! 2nd entry is here. So the weekend so far is going Ok. It's been real slow in Downtown. Nothing surprising. I will be posting pics of the Release party once Boomba Master loads that ish up. The Release party was cool, MOST of my peeps rolled through and showed support. Copped a few CD's and some Beat Bros. Sound shirts. Hope you like em'. For those of you who weren't able to make it out no worries, plenty more upcoming events you can catch me at. What up! What up!. Ok folks, the time has finally come. Tonight I decided to finally create my own official blog. For all you blogspot haters out there, you can eat a dick sandwich with CHEESE! There has been a lot going on since the new year started. I am going to do a quick run through of what has been going on since January 1st.

So most importantly I fulfilled my New Year Years resolution which was to put out a Mix tape. For all you cats sleepin' it's called "New Beginnings." It consists of Hip Hop Music and was recorded with 100% vinyl!

myspace.com/djfredsavage. The CD hit's the street Thursday, March 12th. which is actually the date of the Release party. I know, cuttin' it real close.!! The release party will take place at an event called Chief Rocka that goes down every 2nd and 4th Thursdays at Red C lounge.




You can catch resident DJ's Frantik, Thumbprint, Mada & Norm Rockwell playing REAL hip hop ish all night long! Make sure you make it out on the 12th because there will be giveaways throughout the night including copies of my CD and BEAT BROS. SOUND clothing!!




For Valentines day I spent most of my day/night on the 1's and 2's. It was exhausting. Only had a few hours of sleep from the night before. From 3-5pm I spun at Adidas in Downtown and copped some fresh new gear!




Then at 6pm me and Frank Fresh rocked the Lounge at Jimmy Love's. Frank Fresh held down a killer Down-Tempo Set for 4 hours str8, then I got on at 10pm and finished the night off with the usual, Neo-Soul, Old school, 80's House, Mash ups and West Coast!!

Moving along to Mardia Gras 09. It was def not as packed as it was the last few years. Jimmy Love's was a little slow that night but was made up by a few special lady guests who were very entertaining. Two words. "Baby Bash!"

Now let's talk about how tonight went! I got to downtown around 9:30p.m. I Made sure everything was all good at Jimmy Love's. Once Frantik arrived he got the party started and had it crackin' the whole night.



I ended up going to Bondi to do a quick set with Resident DJ's Joemama and Frank Fresh. Once I got in there I decided to go through some music that I just uploaded, and all of a sudden a girl comes up and try's to look at what I was doing on my laptop! And little did I know it was my childhood friend Andrea who claims she was just in the area. I don't believe her though. This is the second gig she's come out to chill and have a drink or 2, so big up to her! It was my first time at Bondi, and let me tell you. The place is off the hook. It has a total different atmosphere once you step in. Nothing like your average San Diego Venue. We all killed it in our short amount of time on deck. If you guys are ever in the area, make sure you drop by every Saturday of the month!












Once I did my quick set I made it back to Jimmy Love's and closed it out for Frantik from 1:00a.m. - 1:30a.m After that I went to go and get some grubbage at Carls Jr.

To finally rap things up here, one last reminder about the "New Beginnings" CD Release party going down on the 12th and a special event going down at Altitude Sky Lounge on Saturday, March 21st. These are both free events all night! So make sure you make it out.



Oh, and one last thing. Every Thursday I throw an event called Groove Kitchen! It's Free All night and no dress code. It consists of a wide variety of music. And I mean a WIDE VARIETY! Friday and Saturday I'm at the same spot but in the downstairs lounge. Dj Frantik and I rotate every other Saturday. He rocks 1st and 3rd Saturdays and I rock 2nd and 4th. There is a cover after 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays so make sure you get on the VIP guest list. HIGH LIGHTS for the night: Having my childhood friend visit me, VIP Parking at Park it & Market and a comped parking fee! As well getting 4 Ranches with my Carl's Jr. Order without even asking!!
