Saved money while people spent money!
So for the first time I stayed in on a Thursday night due to a big day I had the following morning. But once Friday came it was back to work. I must say for the past 2 weekends work has been picking up really well. The boss and owner are happy which makes Fred Savage happy! : D
On Friday at Jimmy Love's I met some pretty cool Filipino girls that were actually from Chicago. Some were visiting for the first time and some just moved here. I made sure they had a good time while they were down here.
On Saturday, while everyone was at Las Vegas or at home watching the fight, I was at Gordon Biersch doing my dinner set. I was bummed out at first, but once I heard Pacquiao knocked out Hatton in the second round I didn't feel as bad. Under 8 minuets! Big up to Manny Pacquiao for representin' for the Filipinos! Here's a video of the entire fight:

If you don't know, now you know!
(The sample) don’t say “players,” it say “Claire,” but we used subliminal tactics on that one. Dilla didn’t really even chop it, but by us saying “players” so much you think it says “players.” People don’t know that was a battle song, only niggas in the D know that. We was actually talking ’bout some real niggas. We’re cool today, but it was actually (deceased rapper) Proof’s group (5 Elementz). These niggas had just dropped they CD that Dilla did most of the beats for and they was just acting arrogant, walking around real tough and we got kind of offended by it.
Once we started talking about it, Waajeed (from Platinum Pied Pipers) was like a hype man, like, “Man, they just put their shit out, where’s yours?” We went over to Dilla’s house and it was one a them nights where everything was clickin'. Two weeks later we came with Vol. 1. They kind of inspired us by being so arrogant, so we made “Players” about them. They found out, I don’t know how…somebody told.

All Time Fav from Kev Brown.
Being that I started DJing in 2004, it's a lot harder finding certain tracks that were put out back in the day on wax. But I didn't give up on searching and I found doubles of this track! Dope ish to listen and vibe out to.

April 16th-18
So last weekend was ridiculous crazy! You know it was crazy if I am now just blogging about it!! Going back to Thursday the 17th. I went to "Rama" in downtown where me and my friends ate for Jamie's B-day!. I didn't eat, but just by looking at the food, it looked BOMB! Will def. have to eat there one time. While everyone was eating I was sipping on some vodka. Here are the pic's from that night.

Birthday girl (Jamie) Holding her birthday present! haha

Jamie and I celebrating!!

Jen and I.

Clarisse and Len taking some time to pose for the camera!

Ryan and Fred Savage! Taking it back to 99'

Jamie & Kriselle.

Gervy Gerv Sanwhich!!

Ryan and Rome.
After dinner most of us decided to go to U-31 for Ladies Night. That was my first time there. Ish was crackin'. I knew a handful of people there, but some never seen. I didn't get a chance to take one pic. This is due to me drinking most of the night. I was amazed of the fact how drunk I was. I was just glad to be out for once without having to work/spin. Def good times. Again, sorry for no pics. Just trust me, it was crackin'!! hahaha.
On Friday I had the worst hangover ever going into work. Work was real slow in the beginning. I drank bottled water all night. I really thought we were gonna close up shop early, but we ended up getting a late night rush! damnit!! I didn't even bring my camera with me.
Saturday came, I felt a little better, but I had to make it on time to the Adidas store in downtown to rock a 4 hour set. As I was getting ready to leave I realized that I didn't bring home my headphones, needles, or vinyl from work the night before. But I didn't panic too much because I knew my bro's wouldn't mind lending me their gear for that day. Big up to my beat brothers for coming through and being there at the right time!! The Adidas store was dope. I played all kinds of genre's. Felt good to be free again! I walked out with a new jacket, shoes and discounted Sun Glasses!!
After that, I went to Frank Fresh's Pad for a few rounds of Street Fighter II HD Remix. I should have napped for an hour or 2, but I didn't so then time for work came real quick then did another 3 1/2 hours there. That was probably the most crackin' night in a while. It was so crackin' my boss let me play West Cost. For all the guest DJ's that played here for me know how big of a deal this was!! hahahaha.
Hightlights of the Night: Getting Dope Free and discounted Gear, Free Parking, and being able to play Gangsta Rap!!!!
